As soon as men reach 45 and women hit 55, their risk of heart disease increases dramatically, which is why you need to be extra careful with your heart. One of the ways to prevent heart diseases is by consuming more cholesterol-lowering foods, like oats!
Oats include one of the best types of soluble fiber that helps getting rid of cholesterol after binding with it. Basically, it works on passing it out of the body instead of leaving it behind in your arteries. This soluble fiber is called beta-glucan!
Try to eat 3 grams of beta-glucan every day to decrease LDL cholesterol levels by up to 10%, and also, you should consume more oats if you want to extend your lifespan because studies found that people who eat a lot of oats have a lower risk of early death than others.
