This is one of our favorite superfoods because we get to eat a great snack while enjoying the benefits at the same time. Dark chocolate benefits are too good to be true: They can improve brain acuity, protect skin from sun damage, reduce cholesterol levels, and lower blood pressure.
Since finding pure chocolate is a little hard and expensive, even the taste is not very pleasurable, aim for chocolates that are 70% cocoa at least to get the most nutrients and the least sugar.
By eating dark chocolate on a daily basis, you will be getting your dose of phosphorus, potassium, iron, zinc, manganese, copper, and selenium. Plus, your brain will release endorphin, which is the good mood hormone.
