In the beginning, the appellation of this breathing exercise might seem slightly odd, but you will get used to it once you try to perform the exercise more often. If you want to get rid of tension and anxiety, the breathing in thirds is the right breathing exercise to carry out.
Breathe in first, then breathe out, but make sure that you perform a 1/3 of the breath, stop for a little while, then continue breathing out, then pause again.
This is how to relax with breathing in and out in thirds and empowering the capacity of the lungs at the same time. The exercise can be carried out whenever you want.
