Adults need to sleep 7 to 9 hours a night for the body to rest to its fullest. By sleeping well (a beauty sleep like people say) the body is burning calories and producing a substance that controls the feeling of satiety.

Otherwise, if you sleep poorly, your body will need to compensate for the absence of that substance and make you feel more like eating.
