7. Watch your feet:
To prevent complications, the diabetic patient should examine his feet daily and check for wounds, calluses, fungus etc. Numerous preventive measures must also be followed.
Daily hygiene. To keep your feet healthy, it is important to wash them daily with lukewarm water and soap and then dry them thoroughly, especially between the toes. The patient should also trim his nails regularly, without cutting them too short and preferably with a nail file to avoid injuries.
Possible corns and calluses are eliminated with the pumice stone. If the feet are dry, applying a moisturizer is recommended.
