1. Choose Carbs Carefully:
Carbohydrates, the body’s main fuel, must provide half the calories of one day, 200 to 250 g on average for a woman, 250 to 300 g for a man. To keep blood glucose levels low, the golden rule is to distribute carbohydrate foods well throughout the day, on three or four meals: bread, and possibly fruit, morning, noon and evening .
Starchy foods, pasta, rice, potatoes, green vegetables, lunch and dinner, preferring foods with very low digestible carbohydrates (they are said to have low glycemic indexes): complete cereal products, bread Cereal, brown rice, oatmeal, traditional wand, dried vegetables, pasta, and even small-butter biscuits.
Other carbohydrate foods have their place provided they slow down their digestion. For this, just eat them within balanced meals providing fiber (vegetables) and proteins (meat, fish, dairy).
