#3 – Type-2 Diabetes and Heart Diseases
According to American Heart Association, people who consume more gluten are at very low risk of developing type-2 diabetes because minimizing gluten means minimizing fiber, which is a known protective factor for developing diabetes.
There is a new study published in The British Medical Journal explains that following a gluten-free diet may increase your risks of heart diseases due to the high consumption of refined grains rather than whole grains.
So, make sure to provide yourself with enough fiber and whole grains by eating more fruits, vegetables, and nuts.
where is the science to back up this statement? I see no real correlation in anything I have studied between eating grains and being healthy…as it seems to cause inflammation among other symptoms. So far it appears a meat and leafy vegetable diet with berries/cherries is the healthiest for humans as our body uses fat for energy, proteins for muscle building and vitamins, and leafy vegetables found naturally round it out.
