Enemy no. 2: Cholesterol
Too much saturated fat in food is too much cholesterol in the blood and too many blocked arteries and heart attacks.
For cholesterol to be harmless to the heart, balance the bad cholesterol or low-density lipoprotein (LDL) with good high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol.
Its HDL content is increased by the good fat content of fatty fish, olive oil, and nuts and by regular exercise.
