Enemy no. 3: Hypertension
Hypertension occurs when arterioles – small capillaries in the arteries – harden and obstruct blood circulation. The tension, which then increases in the arteries, can damage the walls and predispose them to the formation of plates. This tension also weakens the heart and increases its volume.
Ask a doctor or nurse to measure your blood pressure from time to time. To learn how to measure it yourself.
