A lot of people believe eyes are the windows to our soul, but they can also tell us a lot about our current health state and even future health problems. Having eye problems doesn’t necessarily mean something’s wrong with your eyesight or eye area. Eye symptoms can be related to other issues and diseases in other parts of the body. So, let’s see how healthy your eyes are and find out what your current eye condition can say about your health.

1. Cloudy Vision

One of the most common vision problems is the feeling that your vision is changing. If you notice you do not see clearly or that you suddenly have impaired vision, you should call someone right away, a friend, family member, or even an ambulance. Why? Well, when your vision gets clouded or goes black even when your eyes are open, it probably means you’re about to faint, or worse since it can also be one of the signs of a stroke. Cloudy vision can also be one of the diabetes symptoms, and even though there are 3 main diabetes types: Type one, two, and gestational diabetes, no matter which one you might be suffering from, you should seek medical advice as soon as possible.

2. Blind Spots

Let’s say you open your eyes one morning, and you notice a blind spot in your vision, you’d probably start freaking out thinking you’re losing your eyesight, but normally this is not the case, and these blind spots are often temporary. But what causes them? First of all, these blind spots go by the name of scotoma; they can have multiple shapes and can be located at the center or corner of your vision. Their cause can be anything from a migraine headache to a stroke, tumor, or other diseases. If this blind spot doesn’t disappear, then it might be time for a doctor’s visit. 3. Blurred Vision

Blurred vision is not the same as cloudy vision. Normally blurry vision is less dangerous and easy to fight by wearing glasses. However, even if you wear glasses, you might suffer from blurry vision, why is that you might wonder? Computers, tv, and cellphones! We don’t mean to hate technology, but the reality is that it has many cons when it comes to maintaining healthy eyes. It doesn’t only cause blurry vision, but also make your eyesight a lot worse as time goes by. We’re not saying you should give up on these items since that’s almost impossible nowadays, but reducing screen time by half can have a good impact on your eyes and overall health.
