Eating too much fruits doesn’t only increase your blood sugar levels, but it also doesn’t sustain it for very long, which makes you crave more and more sugar in a short period of time.

For instance, if you have fruit as a snack, you will notice that your tummy will start growling after 30 minutes craving for more! This explains that fruits are not packed with enough protein or fat to keep you sated for a good period of time. Therefore, you find yourself craving for more!

Apart from this, the fructose in fruits is another issue! The latter does not trigger the release of leptin, which is a hormone that signals satiety, rather, it triggers the release of ghrelin instead! The latter is a hunger-stimulating hormone that makes you want to eat more fruit!
