#5 – Stroke
Strokes develop when the artery in the brain is blocked or leaks, this leads to the lack of oxygen in the brain cells which start to die within minutes. If it wasn’t cured, the stroke may cause a long-term disability. When a stroke occurs, you will experience confusion, numbness, and trouble seeing and walking.
The best prevention against strokes is maintaining a healthy lifestyle; exercise, healthy diet, and no smoking. In some cases, medicines and surgeries are needed especially for people who suffer from a high blood pressure. Also, being a female or an African-American is apparently a strong factor for having a stroke.
Thank you!
