#10 – Lower Respiratory Infections
These infections attack the lungs and airways and progress due to the flu, pneumonia, and bronchitis. It is very preventable due to its obvious symptoms such as coughing, trouble breathing, and a tight feeling in the chest.
Leaving it untreated will lead to breathing failure and death. The Respiratory disease kills 269.0 per 100.000 Americans every year. By getting flu shot every year, you may highly decrease the chance of being infected.
People with a weak immune system, asthma, and HIV are more at risk to get this disease, however, it can be successfully treated with the right medications and vaccines. Also, avoid cigarettes and poor air quality.
