This illness is no stranger to most of us, but a non-stop diarrhea (more than 2-3 days) means that your body is at a serious risk of dehydration due to the excessive loss of water and salt in a short period of time. 1.9 per 100.000 Americans died from dehydration caused by diarrhea.

Since diarrhea is caused by a virus that can be transmitted through water or food, people with poor sanitary conditions and poor access to clean water are most likely to suffer from severe symptoms of diarrheal diseases, especially children.

To prevent this disease by 40%, UNICEF advises keeping good hygiene and good hand washing techniques. Of course, improving sanitization and water quality is the safest and best solution to Diarrhea.
