Pain is a response your body makes to tell you that there’s something threatening its stability. Stress works the same way—a restrained amount of stress, mind you.
A study from the University of California, Berkeley has shown that a reasonable amount of stress over a specific time period can motivate you to finish the task at hand. Other studies have added that stress is better dealt with if viewed as a challenge and not as a threat.
