The prefix “dys” refers to everything defective, abnormal, difficult, or bad. One popular word containing this prefix is “dyspepsia.” While we already explained the first half, pepsia means digestion.

So this term embodies a variety of issues related to digestive distress, such as upset stomach, indigestion, heartburn, nausea, etc. Another example is Erectile Dysfunction (ED) and I guess this one doesn’t need any clarifications.
