Brushing your teeth is really important for the health of your teeth and gum. However, there are some special cases when you’d better not brush them at least 30 minutes after taking your meal. According to Mayo Clinic, you should completely avoid brushing your teeth after the consumption of acidic food items or those containing citric acidic, such as oranges, lemons, and grapefruit.

The reason why you should avoid brushing your teeth in such case is that the acid weakens the enamel and when you brush your teeth, you tend to damage the enamel. Hence, it is enough to brush teeth no more than two times a day, especially before bedtime!
