There is a natural sugar (Sorbitol) that may cause digestive problems and it can be found in fruits like apples and peaches. If the Sorbitol sugar reaches the large intestine, it creates bloating, gazes, and possible diarrhea.
On the other hand, one stick of sugar-free gum contains up to 2 grams of Sorbitol as well as the sugar-free ice cream, soft drinks, and jams. To avoid consuming Sorbitol, make sure to not ‘over-eat’ fruits and always check labels of foods and pick the ones that are Sorbitol-free.
