We all love to do it. And believe it or not, humanity has been chewing gum since the Neolithic period (in a completely different form, obviously). That was more than 10 thousand years ago! Nowadays, modern chewing gums are usually composed of a gum base, sweeteners, softeners, favors, colors, and a powdered polyol coating.
