All the soft drinks contain caffeine, which is a psychoactive drug that affects your central nervous system and increases the brain function, resulting in temporary changes in behavior, mood, and perception.
When you have increased energy levels, nervousness, irregular heartbeat, and irritability, then you will probably not be able to fall asleep. This is especially dangerous for children who are allowed to drink soda; it will keep them restless.
You may need the caffeine during the day to stay awake, but it is better to consume the usual coffee than the soda to prevent its other side effects (like the sugar!). Remember that caffeine is only a borrowed energy, so the caffeinated soda will do nothing but play on the natural rhythm of your body!
