4. Bread & butter

Oh, good old-fashioned bread and butter! This is an option that fits in the “convenience category.”But you need to be careful. For starters, processed bread contains added sugars (about 4g per slice) and some may have more than 20 ingredients. That has to be a cause of concern since bread usually doesn’t need more than four ingredients: flour, salt, water, and oil. So, make sure to use the right bread as well as the right butter. Most buttery spreads contain trans fats, which can affect your cholesterol and increase your chance of diabetes and heart disease.

Lastly, you should never eat just a slice of bread with some butter for breakfast. You need other foods in order to get your vitamins, proteins, and minerals. Fruit and eggs are excellent complements!
