3. Loss of appetite:
Nausea and vomiting, fatigue or a build-up of wastes caused by the death of cancer cells can cause loss of appetite. Some chemotherapeutic agents may temporarily cause changes in taste and smell, which may make the food less appetizing.
There are people who lose interest in food and who don’t eat anymore even if they know they have to do it, which can lead to weight loss and malnutrition. Continuing to eat well during and after chemotherapy is important to help a person recover from the treatment.
