#8 – Caffeine and Heartburn

Coffee, tea, iced tea, soda, or any other caffeinated food or beverage is a big offender. But it doesn’t mean that you should cut off coffee forever if you have heartburn, it’s about cutting down and paying attention to the size of portions you consume.

For instance, a Starbucks tall, which is their version of a small, is an equivalent of three cups of coffee. So those who drink a daily two cups of coffee at Starbucks are actually having six cups a day, which is too much coffee!

If you suffer from heartburn, you can likely drink a 3- or 4-ounce cup of coffee every morning without any problems at all. But if you usually guzzle coffee throughout the day, then, you should be ready for heartburn as an obvious consequence.
