There are not as many exercises that focus on the oblique muscles, this is why you need to add the seated barbell twist to your workout routine.

As you practice it, you need to get your elbow above the opposite knee. In case it was hurtful and hard to maintain, try to go as far as you can carefully because this exercise can easily cause harm to your body when you are still a beginner.
