#5 – Styrofoam Cups
Plastic products such as cups, packaging, utensils, trays, and plates are made from polystyrene plastics, which, in turn, are manufactured using styrene, a known carcinogen. What’s dangerous about this element is that it can leach into your hot soup or coffee while using Styrofoam containers.
It can also be found in cigarette smoke and some household products used for crafting, automotive, and maintenance. To stay safe, read product labels and steer clear of Styrofoam, especially when it comes to hot drinks and foods.
