#9 – Take Good Care of Bruises and Bumps
Diabetes slows wound healing and increases your risk of infection, so you should be extra careful and treat even simple and small cuts and scrapes properly and rapidly.
Make sure to clean your wound properly using an antibiotic cream and sterile bandages. If it’s didn’t get better in a few days, you must see a doctor.
Remember to check your feet on a daily basis for swelling, redness, sores, cuts, or blisters, and don’t forget to moisturize them to prevent cracks.
