Your attitude towards food

Diet sodas have no calories, and that’s a fact that turned people into indulging elsewhere. For example, you would think that’s okay to order a cheesy burger with extra fries because there are no calories in your drink.

Or, maybe just add another potato chips after that heavy meal since you can now afford the extra calories.

Moreover, soda always accompanies fast food; they are a pair that could never separate. So when you stop drinking the diet soda, you break that habit and start looking for better food options. Soon enough, you will find yourself eating only healthy meals.

There is a very obvious connection between diet soda and weight gain in which our hormones can explain.

According to a study published in Diabetes Care, when you drink 2/3 of diet soda before your meal, the pancreas will be releasing the fat-storing hormone insulin, and when the pancreas is overworked from creating too much insulin, diabetes creeps in!

Suddenly, you are suffering from obesity and diabetes because of a beverage that doesn’t add any benefits to your insides.

Also, a recent Japanese study discovered that middle-aged men who drink one or more diet soda every day have more chances to develop type 2 diabetes in the course of 7 years!
