Slicing citrus foods before time

Sure, it is easier to have limes, lemons, and oranges pre-sliced for fun cocktails, cooking, and infused the water. But it comes with many disadvantages, including the decrease of their nutritional value. Citrus foods are filled with Vitamin C, which can lose potency easily from being exposed to air and light.

The solution is to slice them only when it is time to use them in order to get all the vitamin C. But if you need only one half, you can wrap the other half in a plastic wrap and freeze it in your fridge. Or, you can just squeeze the remaining juice in a bottle or a cup, freeze it, and use it later. These are the only ways to help you keep the vitamin.
