While a traditional Mexican staple that goes great with tortilla chips, guacamole is best avoided if you are unsure if its’ ingredients are fresh or have been appropriately stored. For example, avocados that have not been kept correctly are prone to bacteria like salmonella.

You could end up catching a nasty bug and stomach virus that will land you straight in the hospital, and in some more extreme cases, lead to organ failure, and ultimately death!

Mexican sauce is hot – and we mean hot. Steer clear of anything “Picante,” which means spicy in Spanish, unless you’re someone that is already used to eating peppery foods.

Otherwise, dousing your dishes in piquant salsa can be an unpleasantly painful and potentially embarrassing experience in the event you throw up – which you might. Make sure you have a glass of milk handy.
