Your skin may appear grayish or bronze because of iron deposits in skin cells, and skin infections may also arise.
Studies have shown that too much iron in the body is related to bacterial skin infections such as abscesses in which pus builds up in your tissues and cellulitis which affects the inner layers of your facial skin but also other parts of your body, causing redness and swelling.
If you notice that your skin has gotten gray or swollen and painful to the touch, you should immediately consult your doctor.
