If you want to have a closer look at what food reconditioning means, you can Google it, or don’t because it will definitely gross you out! Let us explain it to you anyway:

Basically, food companies want to keep their costs as low as possible. So, when the food does not look “perfect” or it is just expired, they will send it back to the supplier to “recondition” it. For example, imperfect pasta can become semolina flour, and an expired blueberry ice cream can “magically” turn to chocolate ice cream ( they just add chocolate!).

In conclusion, don’t trust anything you see in the grocery aisles, they can be your worst nightmare and may lead to serious medical symptoms, and if something doesn’t look right, don’t buy it, no matter what the label says.
