Of course, milk and many other products can easily go bad after a certain amount of time and it is noticeable by everyone. However, the supermarket meat departments don’t really care. If the meat is still looking fresh, then they will put a new label on it with a different date.

The possibility of you purchasing meat with an expiration date that was pushed back by days, or maybe even weeks, is very high. So, it is better to avoid buying meat from the supermarket, and if possible, buy it from a trusted butcher.
