There are many reasons why people blush, such as seeing a crush, feeling embarrassed, or sometimes being angry. But why and how does it happen? Actually, in such situations, the capillaries in the cheeks get wide, letting more blood flow through, and thus, the skin turns rosy.

Moreover, there are more of these blood vessels in our cheeks than any other body parts. Nevertheless, more studies are needed to find out the exact reason why blushing happens. One thing is sure: blushing is the most human of all expressions, as Darwin stated.
