When you bite on your nails, the nail bed will remain exposed, which is where bacteria like Staphylococcus aureus can open the pores and build pus all around the nails, which leads to nail abnormality.

The nail puss is a terrible thing, and it wouldn’t go away unless it is cured with pills or in a surgery where they need to drain it out.

On the other hand, if you tend to use nail polish, but you still bite on your nails anyway, then you need to stop polishing them. Otherwise, you will end up consuming harmful chemicals, including formaldehyde, which is used to embalm dead bodies – scary, isn’t it?
