These health issues can make it very hard for you to stay active, therefore, you will burn fewer calories and end up gaining more weight.

However, if you are desperately in need to lose weight and get rid of the extra pounds, then you might need to increase your vitamin D intake! The latter along with the leptin hormone can control your weight. What really happens is that the leptin hormone, produced in fat cells, send signals to your brain so that you can feel full and avoid overeating.

The vitamins, on the other hand, come to help the signals get to the brain. But in case of vitamin D deficiency, the whole processed is ruined. Therefore, you don’t feel full and you continue munching on foods and obviously gain more weight.

Some of the things you can do to maintain a good vitamin D level is by exposing yourself to sunlight and also include some foods in your daily nutrition, such as fish, egg yolks, whole grain bread, orange juice, and unflavored yogurt.
