According to many studies, low sun exposure along with vitamin D deficiency in body cells can be one of the major causes of colorectal cancer.In fact, sufficient levels of vitamin D were found to be one of the reasons that helped some patients survive colon cancer and this is because vitamin D has the ability to control the growth and survival of cancer cells.
However, experts in this domain say that there is the need to conduct more clinical trials in the future in order to decide whether vitamin D supplementation can help prevent or even lower the risks of developing this dangerous cancer disease.
