You may wonder just how can dry eyes lead to watery eyes? but, ironically, dry eye syndrome can cause exactly that.
Dry eye syndrome occurs when your eyes either do not produce enough tears or the tears just evaporate quickly causing the eyes to get dry and itchy.
When your eyes are too dry, they become irritated and the lacrimal glands produce too many tears in an attempt to soothe your eyes. This condition is quite contradictory but it makes sense!
To prevent any eye problems, reduce your exposure to blue light, let your eyes rest for a while before resuming your work, don’t overuse your eyedrops, wear UV protection glasses to reduce the glare of sunlight, never sleep or shower in your eye contacts as it may cause eye infections, and replace junk food with plenty of nutrient-rich vegetables and fruits that will benefit your eyes. Protect your eyes at all costs!
