Blocked tear ducts are also the most common cause of watering eyes.

When your ducts get blocked or narrow due to swelling or inflammation affecting your eyes, the tears don’t wash away. instead, they go back up and irritate your eyes, hence resulting in glossy-looking eyes.

Other symptoms of blocked tear ducts include redness, blurred vision, mucus, crusting of the eyelids, and pink eye (conjunctivitis) which is a recurrent inflammation or infection of the conjunctiva that covers the white of your eyeballs.
