Last but not least, the air conditioners can lead to irritation in your mucus membranes while dry the mucus out, especially that they cause dryness in the nasal passages.
Basically, when the adequate protective mucus is absent, your body will become a lot more vulnerable to be attacked by viruses. In some cases, bacteria that cause Legionnaires’ disease (and any other notorious microbes) thrive in artificial water supply systems, including the AC units and systems.
We know that living without air conditioners is extremely hard; impossible, some would say. But with all of these side effects, we need to be a lot more careful. So we should decrease the amount of time we spend in air-conditioned rooms and start learning how to handle the natural heat that the sun is providing us, right?
