People who spend more time in air-conditioned spaces tend to experience many upper respiratory symptoms in the throat, nose, and eyes more than those who don’t spend much time breathing that AC air.
Some of the symptoms are a dry throat, nasal blockage, and even rhinitis.
According to research, 28% of air-conditioned buildings witnessed rhinitis, while only 5% of naturally ventilated buildings. Around 9% of people had nasal blockages in natural ventilation while over 35% of people experienced it in air-conditioned areas.
To experience respiratory issues is not really a fun thing when it is extremely hot outside and you need to breathe in that amazing beach scent, so be careful of how long you hang out in air-conditioned rooms.
