If you already suffer from allergies and asthma, then the AC can make it worse, but it mostly depends on the person because each one of us has a different body and a different approach to environments.
For instance, some people with allergies prefer to be indoors in an air-conditioned room to protect their bodies from air pollutants. On the other hand, there are people who might have their situation worse because of the AC!
If you or a family member has a history of asthma or allergies, then make sure the air conditioner at your home is cleaned and maintained properly to decrease the risk of being exposed to microbes.
