The High Blood Pressure© Dr. Mercola

The healthy and effective function of the circulatory blood system depends on that of the kidneys and vice versa. Normally, Kidneys have small nephrons where each kidney has almost one million nephrons. The latter has the responsibility to remove the waste and extra fluid from the bloodstream. In other words, nephrons are that part of the kidney that does the cleaning.

Interestingly, a nephron has two parts, namely a tubule and a glomerulus. The latter is a small blood vessel in which blood plasma is filtered. However, if any damage occurs at the level of the blood vessels, the nephrons are, as a result, left without enough oxygen and nutrient.

So, mostly for this particular reason, high blood pressure is considered to be the second leading cause of kidney failure.

Useful tip: to avoid the risk of getting kidney failure, learn how you can effectively control your high blood pressure and balance it through the addition of some foods to your diets, especially those rich in folic acid.

  1. How do these warning signs indicate kidney disease rather than type 2 diabetes??

  2. This is useful info, I’ve had lower back pain for weeks which had made me feel slightly nauseous; I’m a driver and been without a regular mode of transport for a couple of years so getting home to the toilet on time has been arduous. I’ve put on weight round my tummy so maybe its that or infection?

I’m not at work so also feel like I’m trespassing on my own territory.
