This exercise will train your brain to retain any information and also to anticipate the future. Here’s what you need to do:
Before your bedtime, sit and write down the main events of the day, dividing them into two categories; the events that produced positive emotions and those that caused negative emotions. Next, add in what you planned to do and what has actually been done. Analyze the things you can do to increase the level of positive emotions.
Once you wake up the next morning, take a look at your notes. Your brain will eventually remember many different events from the past several weeks or months and will be able to make the best decisions based on them.
