Polyester, also in the family of synthetic fabrics, is one of the worst fabrics for skin.
Polyester is made of highly toxic chemicals including synthetic polymers that are made from terephthalic acid and esters of dihydric alcohol.
Wearing polyester, even if you find that it’s blended with organic fabrics such as cotton, skin infections may still arise due to the fact that this fabric doesn’t allow your skin to breathe and that when you sweat, the toxic chemicals in it get absorbed by your skin.
Again, it’s better to avoid Polyester and wear skin-friendly fabrics like cotton, silk, wool, like alpaca wool or merino wool, cashmere, linen, etc., and save yourself the pain of itchy skin.
