According to the division of sleep medicine in Harvard medical school, the older you get, the less sleeping hours you need, and this is when it gets tricky for teenagers. Teenagers need around 8-10 hours of sleep, and they are programmed to feel sleepy after 11 Pm.
Therefore, when school starts at 7, it means they are not getting enough sleep. This means that school starts too early for their changing body, which can affect their performance.
