Drinking lemon juice for weight loss purposes hasn’t been conclusive yet. However, there were experiments and evidence that suggest that lemon and weight loss may be correlated.
For example, there was an experiment that showed how polyphenols in lemon peel made mice avoid putting on extra weight during an 84 days period. Also, lemon water doesn’t contain a high amount of calories.
So for this reason, if you alternate drinks that are high on calories with lemon juice, you’ll avoid putting on extra fat. Furthermore, it can keep you hydrated, which as research suggests is very helpful in weight loss.
So, as you can see, lemon juice and weight loss haven’t figured out their relationship yet, but we are hopeful to see something between them in the future.
