Sister Madonna Buder goes swimming, biking, and running after church hours. Inspired by a priest who was also a runner, Sister Madonna first started running at the age of 47 to quickly earn the nickname “the Iron Nun” by being the oldest female competitor in the Hawaii Ironman.
She continues to inspire older age groups to go for races and triathlons and she encourages everyone to just make an effort because it’s a real success in itself.
