6. Blurred Vision

Blurry vision is one of the main symptoms of people living with Type 2 Diabetes. Does type 2 diabetes causes blindness? It depends. If you let go and do not get proper treatment, it can cause eye damage.
Over time, the increase in blood glucose levels damages the blood vessels of the eye retina, which causes bleeding and leads to vision loss (diabetic retinopathy).
At this stage, it is common for you to find black floating points in your field of vision, and, as such, you should seek advice immediately from your ophthalmologist.
