It is natural to bleed if any part of your body comes in contact with something sharp, but to bleed without any logical reason is quite suspicious. In fact, unusual bleeding is an indicator that leukemia is killing you slowly.

The bleeding could be in your gums, lungs, bowels, or head. Nosebleeds are also included. This signifies the deficiency of platelet plus other clotting issues. So if your gum bleeds out of a sudden, forget about the usual bleeding gums treatment and call your doc.

Just like it causes the emergence of spontaneous bruises on your skin, leukemia triggers the surfacing of petechiae. They are like little dots in red, indicating low platelet. Your ankles are mostly the affected parts, where the bodily fluids get accumulated.

When was the last time you got a dental checkup in? If the answer is months ago, then you’d better get an appointment, especially if you notice your gum is swollen. This is considerably serious.

Many people would notice this and choose to ignore this issue they label as ‘not serious’, whereas it is. This kind of attitude-negligence- is what leads people to certain death gradually.

A swollen gum, or gingival hyperplasia, is a sign of leukemia in the case of few patients. This is when the size of the gingival becomes bigger and swollen. It is important to check your gum when brushing your teeth, for instance, from time to time.
