1. A LUMP ON THE NECK
No matter how slight or small are the changes occurring in your body, they definitely shouldn’t be neglected! Hence, if you notice one that you have never felt before, then, you might need to see your doctor immediately! This could also mean that a tumor is metastasized from the throat to the neck.
2. CHANGES OCCURRING IN YOUR VOICE
Changes in the sound and pitch of the voice might reveal dangerous hidden issues such as throat cancer. In fact, when cancers are formed on the vocal cords, a change in the voice and hoarseness are caused, reported the American Cancer Society! However, the good news is that these symptoms can allow the patient to detect the disease while in its early stages, which will in return increase the chances of healing! Hence, if you notice that the hoarseness lasted more than two weeks, don’t hesitate to see a doctor soon!

3. IF YOU OR YOUR HAVE HPV
It is very known that people with HPV, especially women are more prone to develop cervical cancer. However, in the past, oral cancers were linked to HPV and more likely to affect both genders, say, men and women reported The Mount Sinai Hospital. In fact, The CDC estimate that about 70% of oropharynx cancers are found to be caused by HPV. Dr. Genden said that men are now developing throat cancer at alarming rates and this is believed to be due to HPV infection they have in their throat because of oral s*x. While there is no way to test men for the virus, once you know that your partner has HPV, it’s time to exercise precaution and protect yourself from developing any lethal issues. Some common signs or symptoms of throat cancer that are associated with HPV are sores on the neck, pain while chewing, difficulty swallowing or even hoarseness!
